Medical Exercise Specialist – Scope of Practice
The scope of practice of the Medical Exercise Specialist includes the components noted in the slide above. A MES may specialize in any one of the areas noted above. MESs are trained in each of these components and are able to develop these services to clients with medical conditions. The MES is not trained to provide physical therapy, chiropractic or any other medical services. The Medical Exercise Specialist uses EXERCISE as their only modality.
