Jumpstart Session 1 – Laying the Foundation & Clarity
Start laying the foundation for your MET practice in this session. You will start by quickly reviewing the medical exercise/post rehab scope of practice and the definition of medical exercise training. You also clarify the vision you have for your practice. MET programming options and the best choices for your practice based on the medical professionals and demographics of your community are the primary focuses of this session. Clarifying your vision is key to your goal of a profitable and successful practice. After the first session you have a clear idea of your practice vision and the components you must establish for a successful and profitable practice!!
Jumpstart Session 2 – Establishing a Marketing Plan
Marketing is the most important skill for a medical exercise practitioner after solid MET client management skills. Establishing a target medical marketing list and determining the post rehab/medical exercise programs you will offer allows you to start shaping your practice. In this session, you will complete the MedXPRO Practice Checklist. The checklist will allow you to identify the clients and medical professionals in the community you will market to. Once the checklist is complete we will begin preparing you to directly market to physicians, physical therapists and chiropractors in your community with confidence and certainty. Having a practice marketing plan will make your business much stronger and profitable. After session 2, you have the foundation for the your medical exercise/post rehab marketing plan!!
Jumpstart Session 3 – Preparing to Attract Referrals
Referrals are the lifeblood of every MET practice. Every medical exercise professional must have the ability to communicate with medical professionals. This includes written and verbal communications. In this module, we will prepare you to make presentations to medical professionals to establish your credibility and professionalism. You will learn what medical professionals really want from medical exercise/post rehab programs and how you can capitalize on this knowledge. Also, we will discuss in detail how to present your programs and skills in such a manner medical professionals immediately realize your credibility. After session 3, you understand what medical professionals want!!
Jumpstart Session 4 – Getting Your Foot in the Door
Now that you understand how to communicate with medical professionals. Now it’s time to get your foot in the door! In this session, we will review strategies to help you get in the door and make your presentation to the physician or physical therapist. You will also learn how to identify the gatekeeper in the office and quickly explain how your programs can help the doctor manage his or her patients. Physicians don’t know. You must make the connection between exercise and medical condition management for physicians. Once you do and begin developing programs that will help physicians and therapists manage their patients, referrals will start to come in. At the conclusion of this session you understand how to get your foot in the door of a medical professional’s office!!
Jumpstart Session 5 – Developing Medical Exercise Practice Systems and Solutions
Every practice must have systems in place to effectively manage information and clients for maximal efficiency. This will only enhance the skills and knowledge of a good medical exercise practitioner. Systems to manage and collect demographic data, billing information and client session logs and progress reports are as important as your medical exercise/post rehab certifications. This session will help your identify and implement MET practice management systems. After this module you understand how to organize and utilize MET management systems in your practice to increase profits and referrals.
Jumpstart Session 6 – Becoming the “Medical Exercise Expert” in Your Community
The medical professionals in your community must see you as the ‘medical exercise/post rehab expert’. In this module you will learn to identify and develop opportunities to share your expertise as a medical exercise professional to attract clients and referrals. These opportunities include presentations (yeah you got to do ‘em) to local businesses, medical groups and patient support groups. You will receive directions on writing articles for your blog, website and local publications that will attract clients. This session will conclude with a strategy plan for utilizing social media such as YouTube, blogs, Facebook and Twitter in building your MET practice. After this session, you know how to use social media to attract clients, sell your services and announce your results!!
Three 1-on-1 Jumpstart Coaching Sessions

* Each Jumpstart participant receives three 60-minute one-on-one coaching session with Dr Mike. Dr Mike has more than 26 years experience training and helping medical exercise/post rehab professionals around the world build successful and profitable practices. During your one-on-one sessions Dr Mike will help you establish a practice development strategy specifically for you. You will also establish a medical referral target list and identify two medical exercise/post rehab programs you can implement immediately in your community to attract clients and referrals.
